US Soccer requires all US Soccer clubs to pass along the SafeSport training links. We cannot force our families to take the training, but as a youth soccer club, we take safety training serious and encourage all of our members to read though and take the training being offered in this email.

Thank you!

All U.S. Soccer members, which includes all Georgia Soccer members, must comply with the Federal SafeSport law.

The U.S. Center for Safe Sport has released five training modules focused on Youth Athlete Training on athletesafety.org.

As provided in USSF Policy 212-3, U.S. Soccer members under theSafe Sport Act are required to offer training to your minor participants. All Georgia Soccer affiliated organizations meet the definition of being required to offer training to minors who participate in your soccer programs.

The modules are age-based: Preschool, Grades K-2, Grades 3-5, Middle School and High School, and are anywhere from 10-20 minutes in length. These modules can be found atathletesafety.org.

A parent/guardian must first create an account in order to give consent for their child to access the training, and then select the appropriate module for their child’s age.

This training meets your obligations under Policy 212-3

Please note that your soccer organization is not required to track which individual youth athletes take this training; rather, your obligation is to ensure that you have documented evidence that you have offered this free training to all youth (and their parents) in your programs.
