Spring 2020 - Officially cancelled.

To Rapids Futbol Club families,


Thank you so much for your patience and understanding as our soccer club navigates through this pandemic.  Georgia Soccer has announced the cancellation of the Spring 2020 season in its entirety, giving our club the freedom and responsibility to now move forward with necessary decisions.  Although we are hoping to play this summer in some capacity, we are cognizant of this global situation.


After much thought and discussion, the RFC  Board of Directors has reached a decision regarding this spring season and finances.   Be assured the RFC Board has done our best to consider many factors as we try to take care of our families. Many clubs are in the same situation as us,  and we are all trying to move forward in the best way possible.  Some clubs are providing member refunds while others are not.  Please see below about the RFC Board’s decisions regarding the refund values for each program.


Mini-Rapids, U6 Rec, U8 Rec, and U10 Rec

Full refunds will be issued for the Spring 2020 registration fee. Any service fees and uniform fees will not be refunded as those hard costs are not in our control. 


RIAS, Academy, Athena, and Classic

Due to substantial upfront and year round costs that we as a club already had to pay out, these programs require us to retain 25% of the Spring 2020 registration fee. Beyond this 25% base amount, refunds will be provided for the amount that you paid toward registration. For example, athletes paid in full, will receive a refund of 75% of the spring registration fee.  All service fees and uniform fees will not be refunded as those hard costs are not in our control.   


IMPORTANT!!!

In order to process these refunds, a simple survey response is required at this time.  The survey consists of three options for distribution of your refund amount.  You must choose one. 


Option 1: Directly donate your refund back to the club as a charitable donation.  If you are in the position to do so, this would greatly help us going forward.  We would provide documentation for your taxes upon your request.  


Option 2: Automatically roll your refund over into the fall season.  


Option 3: Personally receive your refund back.


I hope you all know that our soccer club will not exist without the amazing support of our parents and players.  Our club is only as strong as our members and we are so grateful to all of you supporting us and representing our sport and our community through Rapids FC.
